TÜV SÜD held their annual customer day at the Williams Formula 1 premises in Wantage on 13 July 2016. It was also a celebration of TÜV SÜD’s 150 years at the forefront of the testing and certification industry.
The day comprised of 12 seminars and keynote speeches which were hosted by their experts, who lead you on a knowledge journey through the challenges they face on a daily basis across a number of industries, including standards, testing and overall compliance requirements. This covered topics such as pitfalls of importing cheap products from low cost production areas, operating in extremes and the General Product Safety Directive.
During the event, there was an opportunity for a tour of the largest private collection of Formula 1 cars in the world, with more than 40 seminal race cars and 30+ years of motor racing history. It was interesting to see how the cars had developed and how technology has improved, plus also how various safety factors have affected the design and speed of the cars.
When speaking with the event organiser, it was not only clear that TUV have a very high regard for its customers and its presence in the market, but also how they value these events for not just saying thank you to its existing customer base, but also to welcome new customers.
